January 12th, 1933.
A special meeting of Council was held to -day at 4:00 o.m, and was

The meeting was called to :Mier and the minutes of the meeting of
January llth were read and approved.
As a casuai deficiency in the Town's revenues now existed a Com-
mittee consisting of Mayo Lewis and Councilman Cann called on_
Mr. J.P.Houlihan of the Liberty National Bank and Trust Company
and made arrangements to borrow $ 8000.00, Councilman Cann moved
that the following resolution be adopted and seconded by Couhcilman
blumenthal the motion unanamously;
RESOLUTION.
RESOLVED that the Mayor be and he i snhereby ditec ted
and authorized for the purpose of supplying a casual deficiency
in revenue now existing, to borrow from such bank or banks of the
City of Savannah as may be selected by him, the sum of Eight ($8000.00)
Thousand Dollars for such time and on such terms as the Mayor shall
agree upon and to evidence said loan by executing in the name of and
on behalf of the Mayor and Councilmen of Savannah Beach Tybee Island,
Georgia, a note or notes not exceeding in the aggregate the principal
sum of Eight Thousand (18000.00) Dollars, and that said note or notes
shall be executed under the officialseal of the Mayor and Councilmen
of Savannah Beach, Tybee Island, Georgia, attested by the Clerk of
Council.
The matter of maintaining the services of Mr. W.J.Bryan was dis-
cussed and a motion was made by Councilman Blumenthal that a com-
mittee of four be appointed to call on Mr. Tiedeman.of the County
Commissioners requesting that Mr.Bryan be placed on duty as a
convict guard at Tybee, Concilman Oann seconded and the motion
passed, the following Councilmen were appointed a committee
Logan, Sharpley,Blumenthal and Righton.
There. being no further business Council adjourned subject to
the call of th Mayor.
