I am doing some research for a college project where I need to study the relationship between demographics and code violations. In accordance with the Freedom of Information Act to obtain records from Florida public governmental bodies I am requesting a list of all property addresses who have received or have active open status code violations and order to vacate for the past 3 months beginning October 1st, 2023. Please include any and all available information for the most recent account holder as well. Please let me know who I can reach out to in regards to this matter. BASEL It has come to our attention that your home located at 835 Canary Walk, in the Town of Gulf Stream, Florida is in violation of the Code of Ordinances of the Town of Gulf Stream ("Town Code"). Removal of a tree with a trunk diameter of eight inches or greater without obtaining a land clearing permit is prohibited. We note that you are aware of this provision and had previously obtained a tree removal permit and arborist letter for a number of trees on your property at 835 Canary Walk. The Town Code reads as follows: Sec. 58-138. - Permits required. It shall be unlawful for any person to remove, damage or destroy from any parcel of land located within the town any tree with a trunk diameter of eight inches or greater prior to obtaining a land clearing permit from the town. For purposes of this section, a "tree" is any self-supporting woody plant together with its root system, growing upon the earth usually with one trunk of at least four inches in diameter at a height of four and one-half feet above the ground, or a multistemmed trunk system with a definitely formed crown. This is to be considered official notice to correct this violation within seven (7) days of receipt of this notice by submitting an application for a land clearing permit to the Town.
