Roll call of votes --Ayes: Huisman, Hippen, Van Deest, Claassen, Eckhoff Nays: None Absent: None Following a motion by Van Deest, seconded by Huisman, the meeting stood adjourned. M r Clerk The Wellsburg Town Council met in regular session on December 30, 1971, with Mayor Ross presiding. The mayor swore in the mayor - elect, Herman J. Eckhoff, who in turn swore in Councilmen Lester Huisman, Ted Van Deest, Herman Hippen, Gary Fairbanks, and Leland Heinrich. The oath was also administered to the town clerk by Mayor Eckhoff. Henry J. Grobe was reappointed as clerk on a motion by Huis- man, seconded by Van Deest. Carried. On a motion by Hippen, seconded by Heinrich, T. J. Heronimus was appointed town attorney for the year 1972. Carried. The mayor appointed Lester ��iuisman to serve as mayor pro tem and Bernard Harms to serve as town treasurer. The following committee appointments were announced by the Mayor: Town Hall and Finance ---Fairbanks and Van Deest Water Department ---Heinrich and Hippen Streets and Alleys---Huisman and Heinrich Fire and Public Safety---Var_. Deest and Huisman Sewer and Sanitation---Hippen and Van Deest Parks and Recreation---Huisman and Fairbanks The meeting recessed until January 3, 1972. The t��Tellsburg Town Council reassembled on January 3, 1972, with Mayor Eckhoff presiding and all councilmen present. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved on a motion by Hippen, seconded by Van Deest. Carried. The treasurer's report was accepted as read on a motion by Huisman, seconded by Hippen. Carried. Van Deest made a motion, seconded by Heinrich, to allow for payment the following bills: Aeilt Terfehn, net salary ��395.84 Herman DeVries, net salary 395.84 Henry J. Following a motion by Huisman, seconded by Van Deest, the meeting stood adjourned. i ayor Clerk The Gellsburg Town Council met in regular session on February 7, 1g72, with Mayor Eckhoff presiding and all councilmen present. Minutes of the previous meeting were approved as read on a motion by Van Deest, seconded by Heinrich. Carried. On a motion by Huisman, seconded by Fairbanks, the treasurer's report was accepted as read. Carried. Hippen made a motion seconded by Heinrich to allow for payment the following bills: Aeilt Terfehn, net salary �394.50 Herman DeVries, net salary 394.50 Henry J. Carried. Following a motion made by Fairbanks, seconded by Huisman, the clerk was instructed to send notices to property owners re— garding repair��.�or replac� faulty water meters�by rlarch 20, 1972. Failure to comply would result in the discontinuance of service. 6'arried.
