RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION #96-267
WHEREAS, by Resolution #96-267, the Borough of Carteret (the "Borough")
retained the legal services of Joseph P. Schiappa, Esq., in connection with the defense
of a matter involving the Carteret Zoning Board of Adjustment: and
WHEREAS, said defense required more services than originally anticipated.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Borough Council
that the amount of funds to be expended in connection with the defense of the
referenced matter is increased by $341.25 and this resolution not to exceed $3,841.25.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this amendment is made without competitive
bids in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:11-5 (1) (a) due to the specialized and
professional nature of the service.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that notice of this action shall be published in The
Home News Tribune on January 20. 1998.
Adopted this 15th day of January, 1998
and certified as a true copy of the
original on January 16, 1998.
