A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARSON SUPPORTING THE REORGANI-
ZATION OF LOS ANGELES COUNTY GOVERN-
MENT
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carson has determined
' that Los Angeles County Government must be reorganized in order to insure that all
residents of Los Angeles County are served by:a responsive and efficient County govern-
ment; and
WHEREAS, the reorganization of Los Angeles County Government would
do much to improve the efficiency of local governments located within Los Angeles County
by eliminating inefficient Los Angeles County policies and procedures presently required
of local governments to comply with; and
WHEREAS, the Los Angeles County Commission on Economy and Efficiency
also recognizes the benefits to be derived from a reorganization of Los Angeles County
Government; and
WHEREAS, the reorganization of Los Angeles County government would
serve to protect the interest of all Los Angeles County taxpayers by insuring that all Los
Angeles County taxpayers by insuring that all Los Angeles County governmental services
are provided in the most economical and efficient way possible.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That efforts be directed toward seeking appropriate State
' Legislation for the establishment of a Special Commission for Los Angeles County Govern-
ment reform.
Section 2. That such Special Commissions' findings be placed upon a
future ballot on a county -wide basis for voter consideration.
Section 3. That the Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Carson are
hereby authorized to execute this Resolution on behalf of the City Council of the City
of Carson.

1977.
