RESOLUTION NO. 77-047
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARSON ADOPTING THE SAFETY STANDARDS
CONTAINED IN THE "REPORT BY THE ROAD COM-
MISSIONER ON SAFETY STANDARDS FOR UNDERGROUND
UTILITIES" (LOS ANGELES COUNTY) DATED JANUARY
31, 1977
WHEREAS, the Road Department of the County of Los Angeles
did, in accordance with instructions from the Honorable Board of
Supervisors of said County, conduct an engineering study to review
safety standards in relation to underground utilities; and
WHEREAS, the engineering committee so convened did make
recommendations of revised safety standards in a report dated January
31, 1977, titled :Report by the Road Commissioner on Safety Standards
for Underground Utilities"; and
WHEREAS, the Honorable Board of Supervisors of Los Angeles
County did conduct a public hearing concerning such revised safety
standards; and
WHEREAS, following said hearing the Honorable Board of
Supervisors of Los Angeles County did formally approve the said report
and the recommendations contained within said report; and
WHEREAS, the adoption of the said report and the recommendations
contained within would be to the benefit of the City of Carson.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF CARSON that the recommendations for safety standards
contained within the report entitled "Report by the Road Commissioner on
Safety Standards for Underground Utilities", dated January 31, 1977, be
adopted within the City of Carson.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 74th day of March, 1977.

I, Helen S. Kawagoe, City Clerk of the City of Carson, California, do
hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of said
City is five; that the foregoing resolution, being Resolution No. 77-047,
was duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of said City at a regular
meeting of said Council, duly and regularly held on the 14th day of March,
1977, and that the same was so passed and adopted by the following vote:
