A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARSON AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTING
PROJECT NO. 243, MARTIN STREET FROM CARSON STREET
TO 218TH STREET, STORM DRAIN WORK AND PROJECT NO.
' 248, SEPULVEDA BOULEVARD WEST OF L.A. CITY LIMITS,
MODIFY VERTICAL PAVEMENT GRADE
WHEREAS, the City Clerk of the City of Carson did, pursuant to
order of the City Council on April 19, 1977, publicly receive, examine,
and declare all sealed proposals or bids for doing work and improvement
described in Resolution No. 77-051, which Resolution is hereby expressly
referred to for a description of said work and improvement and for all
particulars relative to proceedings; and
WHEREAS, due notice inviting bids and setting a date for the opening
of bids has been duly posted as prescribed by law and as provided in
Resolution No. 77-051; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carson, on the 19th day
of April, 1977, did publicly receive, examine and declare said proposals
or bids as reported by the City Administrator.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CARSON AS FOLLOWS:
' Section 1. Acceptance and Rejection of Bids. That the City Council
of the City of Carson hereby awards the contract for doing said work and
making said improvements to the lowest responsible bidder, to wit:
A & A CONSTRUCTION COMPANY
at the price named in the bid of said bidder on file in the office of the
City Clerk of said City; and it does reject all other bids or proposals,
effective upon execution of the City contract by said low bidder.
Section 2. Execution of Contract. The Director of Public Works
is hereby directed to prepare the contract and forward it to the City Attorney
for approval as to form and the Mayor is hereby directed to enter into contract.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 2nd day of May, 1977.

I, Helen S. Kawagoe, City Clerk of the City of Carson, California, do
hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of said
City is five; that the foregoing resolution, being Resolution No. 77-083,
was duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of said City at a regular
meeting of said Council, duly and regularly held on the 2nd day of May,
1977, and that the same was so passed and adopted by the following vote:
