• RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD ACCEPTING
• DONATION FROM EL REY RESTAURANT IN THE FORM OF
ADAPTIVE /ACCESSIBLE PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT VALUED AT
APPROXIMATELY $5,000
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood wishes to provide recreational programming
opportunities to all of its residents including children with special needs; and
WHEREAS, in support of those efforts, Councilmember Aide Castro has solicited
and attained a sponsorship to purchase adaptive /accessible playground equipment to
be installed at Lynwood City Park's northwest playground.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council hereby approves the acceptance of the donation
valued at approximately $5,000 from El Rey Restaurant and authorizes the City
Manager to work with staff to process the donation, purchase and install the playground
equipment as soon as reasonably possible.
Section 2. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 18th day of August, 2015.
