A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD, ADOPTING
THE PLANS, CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND WORKING DETAILS FOR THE
OLANDA STREET AND VIRGINIA AVENUE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, PROJECT
NO. 4011.68.017; AND AUTHORIZING THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS TO
SOLICIT BIDS FOR STREET RECONSTRUCTION
WHEREAS, the plans, contract documents and working details for the Olanda
Street and Virginia Avenue Street Improvement Project No. 4011.68.017, are completed
and ready for the City Council of the City of Lynwood's review, consideration ' and
adoption; and
WHEREAS, the estimated construction cost of said project is $588,660; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works of the City of Lynwood has
determined that said projects are in accordance with the California Environmental
Quality Act (CEQA) and are categorically exempt pursuant to Section 15301 (C) of the
CEQA guidelines pertaining to statutory exemptions; and
WHEREAS, the project is ready to be advertised for the solicitation of bids.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the Olanda Street, from Carlin Avenue to Gibson Avenue and
Virginia Avenue, from Bullis Road to Thorson Avenue Street Improvement Project,
Project No. 4011.68.017, is in conformance with the California Environmental Quality
Act (CEQA) and is categorically exempt.
Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Lynwood hereby adopts the
Plans, Contract Documents and Working Details for the Olanda Street and Virginia
Avenue Improvement Project, Project No. 4011.68.017.
Section 3. That the City Council of the City of Lynwood authorizes the
solicitation of bids for said project.
Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 5. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 1St day of September, 2015.
