A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARSON APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR
CONSTRUCTION OF SIDEWALK, CURB, GUTTER, DRIVE-
WAYS AND APPURTENANT WORK ON DOMINGUEZ STREET
ET AL, ORDERING THE WORK, CALLING FOR BIDS AND
DESIGNATING A TIME AND PLACE FOR THE OPENING OF
BIDS, CITY OF CARSON PROJECT NO. 251
' WHEREAS, The City has prepared plans and specifications for the
construction of street improvements in the City of Carson; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of Carson that
such plans and specifications be approved and the work shown therein
be done by the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CARSON AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Approval of Plans and Specifications. The plans and
specifications filed with the City Clerk and bearing the designation
"Project No. 251, Dominguez Street et al" and relating the improvements
as described in this Resolution are hereby approved.
Section 2. Ordering the Work. It is ordered that the work and
improvements proposed to be done, hereinafter designated as Project
No. 251, City of Carson, shall be performed as shown in said speci-
fications.
Section 3. Specifying Fund. It is ordered that the cost to the
City of Carson of said work and improvements shall be paid as follows:
Approximately $110, 3 10. 00 H & CD Funds
Section 4. Adoption of Wage Scale. It is hereby determined that
the general prevailing rate of hourly rates in the locality in which such
work is to be performed, for each craft or type of workman or mechanic
needed to execute such public work; and also the general prevailing rate
for legal holiday and overtime work for each craft of workman or mechanic
are in accordance with the most recent General Wage Determination made
by the Director of Industrial Relations pursuant to the California Labor
Code, Part 7, Chapter 1, Article 2, Section 1770, 1773 and 1773.1.
Section 5. Call for Bids. The City Council hereby fixes June 28;,
1977, at the hour of 10 a.m. as the day and hour and the City Clerk's
Office of the City Hall, Carson, as the place of opening of bids; and
said time and place shall be shown in the Notice. All bids shall be delivered
to, opened, examined and declared by the City Clerk at the City Hall, 701 E.
Carson Street, Carson, California, and shall be publicly opened.
The City Administrator shall report the results of such bidding to the City
Council at its next regular meeting after the opening of bids. No proposal
or bid shall be considered by the City Administrator or by the City Council
unless accompanied by a check or bid bond as required by law and satis-
factory to City Council.

I, Helen S. Kawagoe, City Clerk of the City of Carson, California, do
hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of said
City is five; that the foregoing resolution, being Resolution No. 77-101,
was duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of said City at a regular
meeting of said Council, duly and regularly held on the 7th day of June,
1977, and that the same was so passed and adopted by the following vote:
