HomeMy Public PortalAbout77-206RESOLUTION NO. 77-206- A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON INDICATING THE CITY'S WILLINGNESS TO PROVIDE THE NECES- SARY TEN (10) PERCENT MATCHING GAS TAX FUNDS TO INSTALL CROSSING PROTECTION EQUIPMENT AS PROPOSED BY THE PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION WHEN NINETY (90) PERCENT FEDERAL ' FUNDING IS AVAILABLE (AT & SF - 2H -26-8-C, LOMITA BOULEVARD EAST OF WILMINGTON AVENUE) PROJECT NO. 287 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carson is desirous of protecting its citizens from bodily injury by the installation of crossing protection equipment at locations where feasible; and WHEREAS, the Federal Government is willing to fund such installation at ninety (90) percent of the cost at the time funds are available. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Carson is willing to fund such installation from Gas Tax funds in the amount of ten (10) percent of cost at the time Federal funds are available.
