RESOLUTION NO. 77-223
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON
APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR BICYCLE AND/OR PEDESTRIAN
FUNDS AUTHORIZED UNDER SB 821 FOR 1977-78 OF WHICH SUCH
FUNDS WILL BE KEPT IN RESERVE BY S.C.A.G. UNTIL THE MASTER
BICYCLE PATHWAY AND IMPLEMENTATION PLAN IS SUBMITTED AND
APPROVED BY COUNCIL.
WHEREAS, SB 821 provides that 20 of each County's total local
Transportation Fund be annually set aside and used to fund the development
of bicycle and pedestrian facilities; and
WHEREAS, the City of Carson has completed an approved pre-
liminary Bicycle Pathway Master Plan that will be finalized with an
implementation plan; and
WHEREAS, the City of Carson desires to construct the master bike-
way system within the City utilizing the funds available under SB 821 when
it is removed from the Reserved Funds upon completion of the Bicycle Pathway
Master and Implementation Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the City Council of the City of
Carson does resolve as follows:
Section 1. To adopt the bikeway system in conformance with the
specifications of the California Highway Design Manual and the Regional
Transportation Plan; and
Section 2. To authorize E. Fredrick Bien as the City's authorized
signature and designated contact person; and
Section 3. To apply for funds available to the City of Carson
allocatedo eiaays and pedestrian facilities.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 17th day of October 1977.

hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of said
City is five; that the foregoing resolution, being Resolution No. 77-213 was
duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of said City at a regular
meeting of said Council, duly and regularly held on the 17th day of October
1977, and that the same was so passed and adopted by the following roll call
vote:
