A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARSON DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE A
PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY ON RAINSBURY AVENUE BETWEEN
HAXBY COURT AND ALBERTONI STREET, AND SETTING
A TIME AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING THEREON
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON HEREBY RESOLVES AS
FOLLOWS:
' Section 1. The City Council of the City of Carson hereby elects
to proceed under and pursuant to the provisions Division 9, Part 3 of the
Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, and hereby declares
its intention to order the vacation of a public right of way on Rainsbury
Avenue between Haxby Court and Albertoni Street, within the City of
Carson as d lineated and shown on the map and plan on file in the office
of the City of Carson, designated as "Proposed Abandonment of the Public
Right of Way on Rainsbury Avenue. " For further particulars as to the
extent of said proposed vacation, reference is made to the map and plan
on file and open to public inspection in the office of the City Clerk.
Section 2. The City Council hereby determines that the public convenience
and necessity requires the reservation of easements and rights of way to
construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove and renew sanitary sewers
and appurtenant structures in, upon, over and across said portion of
Rainsbury Avenue and to construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove,
renew and enlarge lines of pipe, conduits, cables, wires, poles and other
convenient structures, equipment and fixtures for the transportation or
distribution of petroleum and its products and incidental purposes in said
portion of Rainsbury Avenue and hereby declares that these proceedings
are taken subject to such reservations and exceptions.
Section 3. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed vacation
on Monday, November 7, 1977, at the hour of 7:30 p.m. at the Council
Chambers located at 701 E. Carson Street, Carson, California, at which
time and place any and all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed
vacation may appear and he heard.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall post notices of said proposed vacation
conspicuously along the line of the public right of way on Rainsbury Avenue
proposed to be vacated at least ten days before the date of said hearing.
Such notice shall be prepared and posted pursuant. to the provisions of
Section 8322 of the Streets and Highways Code.
Section 5. This resolution shall be posted in the four public places
designated for the posting of ordinances in the City.

1977, and that the same_ was so passed and adopted by the following vote:
