A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARSON APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR
STREET IMPROVEMENTS, ORDERING THE WORK, CALLING
FOR BIDS AND DESIGNSTING A TIME AND PLACE FOR THE
OPENING OF BIDS FOR CITY OF CARSON PROJECT NO. 297
WHEREAS, the City has prepared plans and specifications for the
construction of street improvements in the City of Carson; and
' WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of Carson that
such plans and specifications be approved and the work shown therein
be done by the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF CARSON AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Approval of Plans and Specifications. The plans and
specifications filed with the City Clerk and bearing the designation
"Project No. 297 - Median Modification - Avalon Boulevard North of
219th Street" and relating the improvements as described in this resolu-
tion are hereby resolved.
Section 2. Ordering the Work. It is ordered that the work and
improvements proposed to be done, hereinafter designated as Project No.
297, City of Carson, shall be performed as shown in said specifications.
Section 3. Specifying Fund. It is ordered that the cost to the City
of Carson of said work and improvements shall be paid as follows:
Private Cash Contribution - Approximately $12,600
' Section 4. Adoption of Wage Scale. The City Council has heretofore
established a prevailing rate and scale of wages in accordance with law to
be paid in the construction of the above entitled improvements. That said
rate and scale was adopted by the City Council by Resolution No. 77-036
on the 7th day of March, 1977, and is on file in the office of the City
Clerk. That said rate and scale is herein referred to and adopted in this
notice as though fully and completely set forth herein, and that said scale
as adopted by said resolution is made a part of`this notice by reference.
Section 5. Call for Bids. The City Council hereby fixes May 26,
1978, at the hour of 10 a, m. as the day and hour and the City Clerk's
Office of the City Hall, Carson, as the place of opening of bids; and said
time and place shall be shown in the Notice. All bids shall be delivered
to, opened, examined and declared by the City Clerk at the City Hall,
701 E. Carson Street, Carson, California, and shall be publicly opened.
The City Administrator shall report the results of such bidding to the City
Council at its next regular meeting after the opening of bids. No proposal
or bid shall be considered by the City Administrator or by the City Council
unless accompanied by a check or bid bond as required by law and satis-
factory to City Council.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 1st day of May, 1978.

I, Helen S. Kawagoe, City Clerk of the City of Carson, California, do
hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of said
City is five; that the foregoing resolution, being Resolution No. 78-076,
was duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of said City at a regular
meeting of said Council, duly and regularly held on the 1st day of May,
1978, and that the same was so passed and adopted by the following vote:
