RESOLUTION NO, 78-098
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARSON DELEGATING AUTHORITY TO THE CITY
TREASURER TO INVEST AND REINVEST SURPLUS FUNDS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON HEREBY RESOLVES AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Pursuant to the provisions of Section
53607, Article 1, Chapter 4, Part I, Division 2 of Title 5 of
the Government Code of the State of California, the City Council
of the City of Carson hereby delegates to the City Treasurer
the authority to invest or reinvest surplus funds of the City
and to sell or exchange securities so purchased.
SECTION 2. The City Treasurer shall assume full
responsibility for such transactions and shall make a monthly
report of such transactions to the City Council.
SECTION 3. The City Treasurer shall only invest
or reinvest such surplus funds in bonds, notes, warrants, re-
gistered warrants, bills, certificates of indebtedness or other
legal investments as provided in Sections 53601 and 53602 of the
Government Code.
