RESOLUTION NO. 78-108
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARSON AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUC-
TION OF MAINLINE SEWERS, DRIVEWAYS AND APPUR-
TENANCES (PROJECT NO. 285) IN THE CITY OF CARSON
WHEREAS, the City Clerk of the City of Carson did, pursuant to
order of the City Council on June 26, 1978, publicly receive, examine
and declare all sealed proposals or bids for doing work and improvement
described in Resolution No. 78-093, which resolution is hereby expressly
referred to for a description of said work and improvement and for all
particulars relative to proceedings; and
WHEREAS, due notice inviting bids and setting a date for the
opening of bids has been duly posted as prescribed by law and as provided
in Resolution No. 78-093; and i
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carson, on the 3rd day
of July, 1978, did publicly receive, examine and declare said proposals
or bids as reported by the City Administrator.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF CARSON AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Requirement of the Department of Housing and
nity Development Approval of Prime Contractor and All Sub -
Contractors. That bid award to the lowest bidder is contingent upon
the approval of the Department of Housing and Community Development
of the pFime contractor and all sub -contractors.
Section 2. Acceptance and Rejection of Bids. That the City
Council Df the City of Carson hereby awards the contract for doing said
work and making said improvements to the lowest responsible bidder, to wit:
A & A Construction
at the price named in the bid of said bidder on file in the office of the
City Clerk of said City; and it does reject all other bids or proposals,
effective upon execution of the City contract by said low bidder.
Section 3. Execution of Contract. The Director of Public Works
is hereby directed to obtain the approval of the Department of Housing
and Community Development of the prime contractor and sub -contractors,
and following said approval to prepare the contract and forward it to the
City Attorney for approval as to form and the Mayor is hereby directed
to enter into contract.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 3rd day of July, 1978.

I, Helen S. Kawagoe, City Clerk of the City of Carson, California, do
hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of said
City is five; that the foregoing resolution, being Resolution No. 78-108
was duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of said City at a regular
meeting of said Council, duly and regularly held on the 3rd day of July,
1978- and that the same was so passed and adopted by the following vote:
