I. Helen Kawagoe, City Clerk of the City of Carson, California,
do hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of said
City is five; that the foregoing resolution, being Resolution No. 78-191 was
' duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of said City at a regular meeting
of said Council, duly and regularly held on the 2nd day of October, 1978, and
that the same was so passed and adopted by the following roll call vote:
AYES: COUNCIL MEMBERS: Bridgers, Marbut, Smith and Yamamoto
NOES: COUNCIL MEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCIL MEMBERS: Colas

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON DOES HEREBY RESOLVE,
DETERMINE, AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
' WHEREAS,
the League of California Cities has served California cities since
1898 with great distinction and pride; and
WHEREAS,
the League of California Cities has effectively represented the
policy positions of California cities before the members of the
state legislature and has made an outstanding contribution in the
effort to preserve the public interest; and —
WHEREAS,
the League of California Cities has provided California cities with
accurate and important information concerning legislation, policies,
and programs having a significant impact on California cities
thereby testifying to the League of California Cities' capability
to be responsive to the needs of California cities; and
WHEREAS,
the City Council of the City of Carson has determined that the
League of California Cities is deserving of recognition for its
outstanding service to California cities.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON does hereby
adopt this resolution commending the League of California Cities and does further
instruct
the City Clerk to transmit a copy of this resolution to the Executive
Director
of the League of California Cities.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of October, 1978.
