A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARSON ACCEPTING THE WORK PERFORMED BY PRKACIN
COMPANY & RUNJE CORPORATION, PROJECT NO. 254,
CONSTRUCTION OF RELIEF SEWERS CITY WIDE AND
AUTHORIZATION OF FINAL PAYMENT TO SAME
WHEREAS, The Carson City Council, on the 6th day of April, 1977,
awarded the contract for street improvements to Prkacin Company and
Runje Corporation for Project No. 254; and
WHEREAS, said work has been duly performed and completed by
said contractor; and
WHEREAS, said work has been inspected by the Director of Public
Works and by him approved as constructed and completed in its entirety,
project and authorized revisions therein; and
WHEREAS, said Director does now recommend and request the
acceptance of the work and the filing of a Notice of Completion thereof; and
WHEREAS, the final contract price for said work is the sum of
$1,012,029.89 which said sum the Director has approved as just and fair; and
WHEREAS, the contract documents provide that a total of $89;530.99
of said total contract price shall be retained until thirty-five (35) days after
the recording of the Notice of Completion of said improvement project.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the Carson City Council does hereby accept the work
performed by said contractor and approves the same as being completed in
accordance with the plans and specifications for said project and authorized
revisions therein; and the City Administrator is hereby authorized to file a
Notice of Completion of said project in the Office of the Los Angeles County
Recorder; and
Section 2. That the City Treasurer is authorized and directed to pay
to said contractor, Prkacin Co. and Runje Corp, the sum of $1,012,029.89
in full payment of said work performed by said contractor, less any sums
held until the expiration of thirty-five (35) days following the filing of said
Notice of Completion, and then paid contingent upon the absence of the filing
of any stop notice against said project within thirty (30) days after the filing
of the Notice of Completion; and
Section 3. That upon expiration of said thirty-five (35) days following the
filing of said Notice of Completion without any claim being ruled against said
project, that all bonds filed by the contractor in said project shall be exoner-
ated and discharged, excepting that the faithful performance bond shall remain
in force until the expiration of one year from the date of filing said Notice
unless a substitute bond approved by the Director of Public Works and the
City Attorney shall have been filed.

I, Helen S. Kawagoe, City Clerk of the City of Carson, California, do
hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of said
City is five; that the foregoing resolution, being Resolution No. 78-202
was duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of said City at a regular
meeting of said Council, duly and regularly held on the 2nd day of October, 1978,
1978, and that the same was so passed and adopted by the following vote:
