A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARSON AMENDING THE PERSONNEL RULES AND
REGULATIONS, RESOLUTION 177, AS AMENDED
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON HEREBY RESOLVES
AS FOLLOWS:
' Section 1. The Director of Personnel is responsible
under the provisions of Section 2904 of the Carson Municipal
Code for preparing and recommending to the City Council revisions
. and amendments to the Personnel Rules and Regulations for
administration of the Personnel System.
Section 2. Amendments to the Personnel Rules and
Regulations may be made by the adoption of resolutions of the
City Council following public posting of notice, and in com-
pliance with applicable provisions of State law concerning
meeting and conferring on matters within the scope of representation.
Section 3. Notice of the amendment to the Personnel
Rules and Regulations contained in this Resolution has been posted
at least five (5) days prior to the adoption of this Resolution.
Section 4. The Personnel Rules and Regulations are
hereby amended as follows:
a. Rule I, Section 58, of the Personnel Rules
and Regulations adopted by Resolution 177,
as amended, Types of Service, subsection 58.(2)
is amended to read as follows:
' "58.(2) Permanent Part -Time: Shall mean
individuals appointed to positions in specified
classes, paid on an hourly basis, and whose
total hours worked per year shall not exceed
1820 hours."

I, Helen Kawagoe, City Clerk of the City of Carson, California,
do hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council
of said City is five; that the foregoing Resolution, being Resolution
No. 78-246 was duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of said
City at a regular meeting of said Council, duly and regularly held on
the 18th day of December, 1978, and that the same was so passed and adopted
by the following roll call vote:
