Mayor & CM met with county manager, staff and commissioner Site plan approved and construction schedule updated. RFP will go out in fall near the completion of the carrying capacity study. Expect certification process to be completed by the summer of 2015 LOA received from GDNR for Savannah side dune restoration maintenance project. Construction easements are being process by city attorney. Pre-proposal meeting was held on 7.1.15 Ongoing; CRC responsibility Compactor cost - $ 25,000 Concrete cost - $ 1,500 Wiring & Meter - $ 2,000 Land line - $ 1,200 Fencing - $ 3,000 Plus 10% - $ 3,270 Total - $ 35,970 Of the 2 sites available (Hwy 80 and McKensie @ Laurel) I would recommend the McKensie site due to accessibility for usage, availability for power, and availability of phone line. There would also be the costs for new fobs. Looking at other sites, as well. New cigarette butt receptibles for Tybrisa were installed. Pre-proposal meeting was held on 7.1.15 More trash and recycling cans were added between 14th and 18th Street on the beach. In FY 16 work plan on-going - currently have a strong anti-litter campaign Evaluating the benefit of extra beach pickups versus extra cans. Looking for grant writer for future assistance
