- Proclamation -
WHEREAS, an urgent need exists to enhance and expand the competitiveness of
our workforce within the global economy, across the nation and within our state and
community;
WHEREAS, a highly trained and motivated workforce is a critical component for
a healthy and vibrant economy in Idaho and in the state's communities;
WHEREAS, the IdahoWorks system, represented by the State Workforce
Development Council, Regional Workforce Investment Boards, and many public
employment, education and training service providers, works in spirited cooperation to
improve the workforce in our state;
WHEREAS, the IdahoWorks system develops workforce services that are
business -driven, customer-oriente4 performance-base4 agile, and responsive;
WHEREAS, the citizens of McCall and our great state benefit from workforce
services and opportunities that facilitate transitions to or within the workforce and which
enhance their quality of life;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Ralph E. Colton, Mayor of the City of McCall, do hereby
proclaim the month of September, 2003 to be
IdahoWorks Month
in McCall and encourage all residents of our community to be aware of the spirit of
cooperation between businesses, job seekers, and the partners of the IdahoWorks system
as they strive to improve the workforce in our great city.
