A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE PROPOSITION A DISCRETIONARY
INCENTIVE GRANT PROGRAM MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING FOR
COLLECTING AND REPORTING DATA FOR THE NATIONAL TRANSIT DATABASE
FOR REPORT YEAR 2013 AND AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE FUTURE
MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING FOR REPORTING YEARS 2014 AND 2015
WHEREAS, the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority
(MTA) authorized payment of Proposition A Discretionary Incentive funds to each
participant agency in an amount equal to the Federal funds generated for the region
based on each agency's reported data; and
WHEREAS, the City was a participant in the MTA's Consolidated National
Transit ' Database (NTD) Reporters Random Sampling Program for the FY 2012 -13
Report Year; and
WHEREAS, the City has requested funds under the Proposition A Discretionary
Incentive Program for collecting and reporting data for the NTD. from, the FY 2012 -13
Report Year; and
WHEREAS, MTA requires the City to execute a Memorandum of Understanding
(MOU) for the receipt of $64,002 for the 2013 Reporting Year; and
WHEREAS, the City also participated in collecting and providing data to MTA for
the NTD report for Reporting Years 2014 and 2015, and thus may be eligible to receive
grant funding.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the Mayor is authorized .to execute the Memorandum of
Understanding for Collecting and Reporting Data for the National Transit Database for
Report Year 2013 attached hereto as Exhibit A.
Section 2. That the Mayor is authorized to execute the Memorandum of
Understanding For Collecting and Reporting Data for the National Transit Database for
Report Year 2014 and 2015 once submitted by MTA.
Section 3. That the Director of Finance is directed to submit an invoice to MTA
prior to the deadline for each MOU executed by the Mayor. z
Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 5. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this City Council
Resolution.
