A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON
DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE PUBLIC SANITARY SEWER
EASEMENTS LOCATED SOUTH OF JAY STREET BETWEEN CLUFF AND
EDGAR STREETS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council does hereby elect to proceed in this
matter in compliance with and under the provisions of Section 50430
"Public Service Easements Vacation Law" of the State of California.
Section 2. The City Council does hereby declare its intention
to vacate that certain sanitary sewer easements located south of Jay
Street between Cluff and Edgar Streets, more particularly described
as follows:
Those portions of Lots 1 to 11, inclusive, Tract No. 35973,
as shown on map recorded in Book 929, pages 73 to 76,
inclusive, of Maps, in the office of the Registrar -Recorder
of the County of Los Angeles, lying within that certain 15
foot wide strip of land shown as 1115' easement for sanitary
sewer purposes per O.R. D203-748 & other documents" and lying
within that certain 15 foot wide strip of land shown as
1115' easement for sanitary sewer purposes per O.R. D210-914
and other documents."
Section 3. A map of the proposed sanitary sewer easement vacation
is on file with the City Clerk of the City of Carson. Reference is
hereby made to said map for particulars as to the proposed vacation.
Section 4. Notice is hereby given that on the24th day of March,
1980, at the hour of 6:30 p.m. at the Council Chambers, City Hall,
701 E, Carson Street, the City Council will hear all persons interested
in or objecting to this proposed vacation.
Section 5. The City Clerk shall conspicuously post Notices of
Easement Vacation together with a copy of this resolution attached
hereto, along the line of easement, proposed to be vacated, and
adjacent area. Said Notices shall be posted at least 10 days before
the date set for hearing as provided herein. Further, said Notices
shall be posted not more than 300 feet apart, but at least 3 such
Notices shall be posted. Said Notices shall state the fact of passage
of this Resolution and shall state the time and place of hearing.
Section 6. The City Clerk shall forthwith cause this Resolution
to be published at least once in the Daily Breeze, a newspaper of
general circulation in the City of Carson.

City at a regular meeting of said Council, duly and regularly held on
the 19th day of February, 1980, and that the same was so passed and
adopted by the following vote:
