A RESOLUJION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARSON APPROVING PLANS AND THE
SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF
SECURITY FENCING AT CARSON PARK POOL,
ORDERING THE WORK, CALLING FOR BIDS, AND
DESIGNATING A TIME AND PLACE FOR THE
OPENING OF BIDS. (CASH CONTRACT NO. 376)
WHEREAS, the City of Carson Parks and Recreation Department
has prepared plans and specifications for thereplacementof the security
fencing at Carson Park pool; and
WHEREAS, it is the best interest of the City that such plans and
specifications be approved and that the work shown therein be done by the
City.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARSON DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Approval of Plans and Specifications. The plans and
specifications f Red with the City U ferk and bearing the designation "Carson
Park Pool Security Fencing -Cash Contract No.376" and relating to the ..
improvements described in the Resolution are hereby approved.
Section 2: Ordering the Work. It is ordered that the work and
improvements proposed to be done, hereinafter designated as Carson Park
Pool Security Fencing shall be performed as shown in said specifications.
Section 3: Specifying Fund. It is ordered that the cost to the
City of said work and improvement shall be paid as follows:
Account No. 1426-987 - Cash Contract No. 376 - Program No. MCFA
Section 4: Adoption of Wage Scale. The California Department
of Industrial Relations has determined the general prevailing rate of hourly
rates in the locality in which such work is to be performed for each craft or
type of workman or mechanic needed to execute such public work, and also
the prevailing rate for legal holiday and overtime work for each craft of
workman or mechanic. A copy of said determination is on file in the City
Clerk's office and open to public inspection.
Section 5: Call for Bids. The City Clerk is hereby ordered to
post a Notice Inviting Sealed Bids for said project on at least three (3) public
places in the City of Carson as designated by the Carson Municipal Code.
Said Notice shall distinctly state the project to be done and refer to the
specifications on file.
Section 6: Receipt and Opening of Bids. The City Council hereby
fixes Thursday, March 6 , 1980, at 2:00 p. m. as the date and time for
opening bids; and said time and date shall be shown in the Notice. All bids
shall be deliverd to, opened, examined and declared by the City Clerk at
the City Hall, 701 East Carson Street, Carson, California, and shall be
publicly opened.

The City Administrator shall report the results of such bidding
to the City Council at its next regular meeting after the opening of bids.
