HomeMy Public PortalAbout80-0431 n 1 RESOLUTION NO. 80-043 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTING STREET IMPROVE- MENTS ON 221ST STREET WEST OF DOLORES STREET (PROJECT NO. 352) WHEREAS, the City Clerk of the City of Carson, did, pursuant to order of the City Council on January 21, 1980, publicly receive, examine and declare all sealed proposals or bids for doing such work and improvement described in Resolution No. 80-018 which resolution is hereby expressly referred to for a description of said work and improve- ment and for all particulars relative to proceedings; and WHEREAS, due notice inviting bids and setting a date for the opening of bids has been duly posted as prescribed by law and as provided in Resolution No. 80-018; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carson, on the 13th day of February, 1980, did publicly receive, examine and declare said proposals or bids as reported by the City Administrator. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Acceptance and Rejection of Bids. That the City Council of the City of Carson hereby awards the contract for doing said work and making said improvements to the lowest responsible bidder to wit: CALEX PAVING COMPANY at the price named in the bid of said bidder on the City Clerk of said City; and it does reject proposals, effective upon execution of the City file in the office of all other bids or Contract by said low bidder. Section 2. Execution of Contract. The Director of Public Works is hereby directed to prepare the contract and forward it to the City Attorney for approval as to form and the Mayor is hereby directed to enter into contract.
