A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARSON APPROVING AN AGREEMENT AND A GRANT
WITH THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A CLASS II BICYCLE ROUTE
ON DEL AMO BOULEVARD.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carson has determined
that the development of a Class II Bicycle Route along Del Amo Boulevard best
meets the needs of the City.
WHEREAS, the State of California Department of Transportation
has indicated that the project is in conformance with the requirements of
funding under SB- 244 - Bicycle Lane Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Carson does
hereby approve the proposed agreement with the State of California Department
of Transportation for the use of funds for SB -244 for the development of a
Bicycle Route on Del Amo Boulevard.
Section 2: That the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized
and directed to execute the Agreement, approved as to form by the City Attorney.
