The regular meeting of Council weis held to -day at 4:00 p.m.
and was attended by Mayor Lewis, who presided, and Coincilmen
Righton,Cann and Blumenthal and Messrs. E.A.Dutton, J.N.Glover,
A.W.Thiott, Allen, E.J.Haar and Major H.M.Stanford.
Mr. Dutton appearing for Hotel Tybee petitioned that license
based on number of rooms in hotel be reduced from 110 to 79
also that the hotel be relieved of paying license for con-
ducting a soft drink stand in hotel, amounting to $50.00. Mr.
Dutton was excused.
Mr. Thiott appearing for the Trades and Labor Assembly in
connection with their plans for Labor Day petitioned that
they be given a donation to help defray the expenses of
holding part of the celebration at Savannah '73each. Mr. Thiott
and Mr. Al/end Axcuded.
Mr. Haar appearing for J.M.Van Barre, operating Breakers
Dining Room, petitioned for reduction in licensescharged
for conducting a dining roam operated in connection with
a dance hall. Mr Haar was excused.
Mr. J.N.Glover petitioned for refund of license paid by him
of ) 25.00 to distribute non - intoxicating beverages. Mr.
Glover was excused.
Motion was made and seconded that the licenses on Hotel Tybee
be reduced as petitioned, motion passed.
Motion was made and seconded that 25% of the receipts of
the parking space collections of Labor Day be donated to
the Trades and Assembly to assist them with their celebra-
tion at Savannah Beach on Labor Day.

J.M.Van Barre for conducting a dining room in connection
with a dance hall be reduced to $ 25.00 motion passed.
The petition of J.N.Glover for refund -of $25.00 for license
to distribute non- intoxicating.beverages was not acted upon.
For the propped benefit dance to be given by the Town on
Tybrisa Pavilion it was decided to ascertain if August 31st
would be available.
