RESOLUTION APPROVING COLLECTIVE BARGAINING
AGREEMENT WITH AFSCME LOCAL 3850
WHEREAS, AFSCME Local 3850 (the "Union") is the collective bargaining agent
for certain employees of the Borough of Carteret (the "Borough"); and
WHEREAS, the Union and the Borough have negotiated over the past several
months regarding terms and conditions of employees represented by the Union; and
WHEREAS, the Borough and the Union have reached an Agreement with regard
to the period of January 1, 1997 to December 31, 1998.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Borough of Carteret that the
attached collective bargaining agreement reflecting the agreed upon modifications is
hereby ratified.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and Municipal Clerk are authorized
to execute the collective bargaining agreement on behalf of the Borough.

and certified as a true copy of the
original on February 6,1998.
