A RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY
OF CARSON ADOPTING THE 1980 SUPPLEMENT TO THE STANDARD
SPECIFICATIONS FOR PUBLIC WORKS CONSTRUCTION, 1979 EDITION
WHEREAS, members of the Southern California Chapters of the
American Public Works Association and the Associated General Contractors
of America working as a committee have compiled the 1980 Supplement to
the Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction, 1979 Edition;
and
WHEREAS, a uniformity of standards will serve to minimize conflict
and confusion in public works construction and will tend to lower const-
ruction costs for future public works projects through competitive
bidding by private contractors; and
WHEREAS, Agency adopted the Standard Specifications for Public
Works Construction, 1979 Edition, on September 17, 1979, by Resolution
No. 79-85; and
WHEREAS, the Superintendent of Streets and the City Engineer
were both represented on the committee which compiled the 1980 Supplement
and have both recommended their adoption.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF CARSON
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The 1980 Supplement to the Standard Specificatons for
Public Works Construction, 1979 Edition, prepared by the APWA-AGC
Joint Committee of Southern California, be adopted as an integral part
of the Standard Specifications covering all future public works construc-
tion within the City of Carson.
Section 2. The City Clerk is directed to forward a certified
copy of this resolution to the County Road Commissioner as the City's
Superintendent of Streets and to the County Engineer as its City Engineer.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 21st day of July, 1980.

1, Helen S. Kowagoe, Agency Secretary of the Redevelopment Agency,
Carson, California, do hereby certify that the whole number of members of the Carson
Redevelopment Agency of said City is five; that the foregoing Resolution being Resolution
No. 80-64 was duly and regularly adoft ed by said Agency at a regular meeting duly and
regularly held on the 21st day of July , 1980 and that same was so passed and
adopted by the following vote:
