A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARSON AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION
OF A PROPOSAL FOR A SENIOR CITIZENS SOCIAL
SERVICE PROGRAM UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF THE
OLDER AMERICANS ACT.
WHEREAS, the Older Americans Act provides funds for Senior
Citizen Social Service programs; and
WHEREAS , the City Council of the City of Carson has determined
that these Senior Citizen Social Service programs meet the needs of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1: Staff is hereby authorized and directed to file
the necessary proposal for planning the Senior Citizen Social Service Program
under Title III-B of the Older Americans Act.
Section 2: The City Council hereby appoints the Parks and
Recreation Director as the authorized representative of this City.
Section 3: The Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized
and directed to execute any necessary contract documents , approved as to form
by the City Attorney.
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED, by the City Council of the
City of Carson on the 15th day of March, 1983.

I, Helen S. Kawagoe, City Clerk of the City of Carson, California, do
hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of said
City is five; that the foregoing resolution, being Resolution No. 83-038
was duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of said City at an adjourned
regular meeting of said Council , duly and regularly held on the 15th day of
March 19 83 , and that the same was so passed and adopted by the
following vote:
