A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARSON ELIMINATING THE SEMI-
ANNUAL REPORT REQUIREMENT FOR REAL ESTATE
BROKERS AND AMENDING RESOLUTION 83-009
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON DOES HEREBY RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS :
Section 1. Subsection 20 of Section 6 of Resolution
No. 83-009 is amended to read:
20. Brokers and Salesman
a. Pawn Brokers $1 ,000 . 00
b. Bail Bond Brokers $ 625 . 00
C. Real Estate Brokers (excepting
brokers working solely as
salesmen in the employ of
another broker) $ 180 . 00
PLUS
$30 . 00 for each salesman (including
all licensees working as salesmen)
in the real estate broker ' s employ
subject to the following:
(i) Each real estate broker doing
business as such in the City, con-
currently with payment of such broker ' s
business license fee hereunder, shall
pay the additional sum of $30 . 00 for
each salesman in the employ of such
broker at the time the broker' s busi-
ness license fee is required to be
paid. No portion of such license fee
shall be refundable if the salesman
should leave the broker' s employ
before the end of the calendar year.
Each real estate broker doing business
as such in the City of Carson shall,
on or before January lst of each year,
file a written report with the Tax
Collector, on a form provided by such
Tax Collector, setting. forth the name
and state real estate licensee number
of each salesman employed by such
broker, and the name and state real
estate licensee number of each sales-
man employed by said broker during the
preceding calendar year who was not
reported on the statement filed the
preceding January 1. Such real estate

as many duplicates of such broker' s
business license as there are salesmen
In such �,)roker' s employ, showing each

such salesman' s name on a duplicate
license of the broker. Each such
duplicate license shall show on its
face its date of issuance and its
expiration on December 31st of the
year in which it is issued. The
salesman shall have such duplicate
license on his Person or in his
possession at all times while engaged
in real estate activities in the City.
(ii) Any broker who fails to so
report a salesman in his employ
and to pay a license fee for such
salesman shall incur a penalty of
$125. 00 payable to the City in
addition to the required $30. 00
license fee, with respect to each
such salesman. Such Penalty
shall be in addition to any other
penalties provided for by this
resolution or by Chapter 3 of
Article VI of the Carson Municipal
Code.
(iii) The annual report required in
subsection (i) hereof shall be deemed
delinquent if such report remains
unfiled at 5: 00 p.m. on the tenth
business day after the same has
become due. Every week or portion
of a week thereafter, a penalty of
$50 . 00 shall be assessed until said
report is filled. No broker or sales-
man employed by a broker may be
issued any license or renewal thereof
as long as a penalty under this sub-
section (iii) shall remain unpaid.
Section 6315 of the Carson Municipal
Code is not applicable to any fines
and Penalties assessed pursuant to
this subsection.

do hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of said
City is five; that the foregoing resolution, being Resolution No. 83-087 was
duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of said City at a regular meeting
of said Council, duly and regularly held on the 20th day of June, 1983, and that
the same was so passed and adopted by the following vote:
