A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON
AUTHORIZING A GRANT FROM THE OFFICE OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE
PLANNING REGARDING THE CARSON CAREER CRIMINAL APPREHENSION
PROGRAM (C-GAP)
WHEREAS, the City of Carson desires to undertake a certain project designated
Carson .Career Criminal Apprehension Program to be funded in part from funds made
available through State General Funds FY 81182 as authorized by Chapter 1292 of the
1982 Statutes fro the Career Criminal Apprehension Program, administered by the
Office of Criminal Justice Planning (hereafter referred to as OCJP) .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor of the City of Carson is authorized
on its behalf to submit the attached Application for Grant for .Law Enforcement Pur-
poses to OCJP and is authorized to execute on behalf of the City of Carson the
attached Grant Award for law enforcement purposes including any extensions or amend-
ments thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the applicant agrees to provide all matching funds
required for said project (including any extension or amendment thereof) under the
Career Criminal Apprehension Program and the rules and regulations of OCJP and that
cash will be appropriated as required thereby.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received hereunder shall not be used
to supplent law enforcement expenditures controlled by this body.

I, Helen S. Kawagoe, City Clerk of the City of Carson, California,
do hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of said
City is five; that the foregoing resolution, being Resolution No. 83-105 was
duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of said City at a regular meeting
of said Council, duly and regularly held on the 20th day of June, 1983, and that
the same was so passed and adopted by the following vote:
