A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARSON APPROVING THE APPLICATION
FOR BICYCLE AND/OR PEDESTRIAN FUNDS AUTHOR
IZED UNDER SB 821 AND APPROVING THE ADOPTION
OF ITS BICYCLE AND/OR PEDESTRIAN PLAN.
WHEREAS, SB 821 provides that 2% of each County's total local
Transportation Fund be annually set aside and used to fund the development of
bicycle and pedestrian facilities; and
WHEREAS, the City of Carson has planned a bikeway system in
conformance with specifications of Caltran's'Planning and Design Criteria for
Bikeways in California and the Regional Transportation Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City of Carson desires to construct the master
bikeway system within their City utilizing the funds available under SB821 .
NOW, THEREFORE, The City Council of the City of Carson does
resolve as follows:
1. To adopt the Bikeway System in conformance with the speci-
fications of Caltrans ' Planning and Design Criteria for Bikeways in California
and the Regional Transportation Plan.
2. To authorize . Raymond L. Meador, City Admin-
istrator, as the City's authorized signature and designated contact person.
3. To apply for all funds available to the City of Carson
allocated for Bikeways and Pedestrian facilities (SB 821 ).

I, Helen S. Kawagoe, City Clerk of the City of Carson, California,
do hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of said
City is five; that the foregoing resolution, being Resolution No. 83-130 was
duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of said City at a regular meeting
of said Council, duly and regularly held on the 18th day of July, 1983, and that the
same was so passed and adopted by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCIL MEMBERS: Calas, Egan, Muise and Mills.
NOES: COUNCIL MEMBERS: None
ABSTAIN: COUNCIL MEMBERS: None
