A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON, CALIFORNIA,
CALLING AND GIVING NOTICE OF THE HOLDING OF A GENERAL MUNICIPAL
ELECTION TO BE HELD IN SAID CITY ON TUESDAY, THE 10TH DAY OF APRIL,
1984, FOR THE ELECTION OF CERTAIN OFFICERS OF SAID CITY AS REQUIRED
BY THE PROVISIONS OF THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA RELATING TO
GENERAL LAW CITIES
WHEREAS, under the provisions of the laws relating to General Law Cities in the
State of California, a regular general municipal election shall be held on Tuesday, April
10, 1984, for the election of three (3) Members of the City Council of said City for the
full term of four (4) years.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That pursuant to the requirements of the laws of the State of
California relating to General Law Cities within said State, there shall be, and there is
hereby called and ordered held in the City of Carson, County of Los Angeles, State of
California, on Tuesday, April 10, 1984, a General Municipal Election of the qualified
electors of said City for the purpose of electing three (3) Members of the City Council of
said said City for the full term of four (4) years.
SECTION 3. That the ballots to be used at said election shall be, both as to
form and matter contained therein, such as may be required by law to be used thereat.
SECTION 4. That the City Clerk of said City is hereby authorized, instructed,
and directed to procure and furnish any and all official ballots, notices, printed matter
and all supplies, equipment and paraphernalia that may be necessary in order to properly
and lawfully conduct said election.
SECTION 5. That the polls for said election shall be open at seven o'clock
a.m., of the day of said election and shall remain open continuously from said time until
eight o'clock p.m. , of the same day when said polls shall be closed, except as provided in
Section 14301 of the Elections Code of the State of California.
SECTION 5. That in all particulars not recited in this Resolution, said
election shall be held and conducted as provided by law for holding municipal elections in
said City.
SECTION 6. That notice of the time and place of holding said election is
hereby given and the City Clerk is hereby authorized, instructed and directed to give such
further or additional notice of said election in time, form and manner as required by law.
SECTION 7. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of
this Resolution; shall enter the same in the book of original Resolutions of said City; and
shall make a minute of passage and adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings of
the City Council of said City, in the minutes of the meeting at the same is passed and
adopted.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this 19th day of December 1983.

I, Helen S. Rawagoe, City Clerk of the City of Carson, California, do
hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of said City is
five; that the foregoing resolution, being Resolution No. 83-210 was duly and
regularly adopted by the City Council of said City at a regular meeting of said
Council, duly and regularly held on the 19th day of December, 1983, and that the
same was so passed and adopted by the following vote:

NOES: COUNCIL MEMBERS: None
