A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARSON AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR MAIN STREET
IMPROVEMENT, EAST SIDE, VICINITY OF 214TH STREET
(PROJECT N0. 489) IN THE CITY OF CARSON
WHEREAS, the City Clerk did, pursuant to order of the City
Council on January 23, 1984, publicly receive, examine and declare
all sealed proposals or bids for doing work and improvements described
in Resolution No. 84-018, which Resolution is hereby expressly referred
to for a description of said work and improvement and for all particu-
lars relative to proceedings; and
WHEREAS, due notice inviting bids and setting a date for.the
opening of bids was duly given as prescribed by law and as provided
in Resolution No. 84-018, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carson, on the 7th
day of February, 1984 did publicly receive, examine, and declare
said proposals or bids as reported by the City Administrator.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARSON AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Acceptance and Rejection of Bids. That the City
Council of the City of Carson hereby awards the contract for doing
said work and making said improvements to the lowest responsible
bidder, to wit:
Val Foth & Sons
at the price named in the bid of said bidder on file in the office
of the City Clerk and.said City; and it does reject all other bids
or proposals, effective upon execution of the City Contract by said
low bidder.
Section 2. Execution of Contract. The Acting Director of
Public Works is hereby directed to prepare the contract and forward
it to the City Attorney for approval as to form and the Mayor is
hereby directed to sign said contract on behalf of the City of Carson.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 21st day of February, 1984.

hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of said City is
five; that the foregoing resolution, being Resolution No. 84-037 was duly and
regularly adopted by the City Council of said City at a regular meeting of said
Council, duly and regularly held on the 21st day of February, 1984, and that the
same was so passed and adopted by the following vote:
