A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON
AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC EMPLOYEES' RETIREtvM SYSTEM
TO GRANT AN ADDITIONAL DESIGNATED PERIOD FOR TWO YEARS
SERVICE CREDIT FOR TBE CITY OF CARSON.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City of Carson is a member of Public Employees'
Retirement System.
Section 2. The City of Carson has been advised by the Contracts
Office of the Field & Contracts Services Division in the Public Employees'
Retirement System that if the City of Carson desires an additional designated
period for Two Years Service Credit (Section 20818) the City Council could
request the designated period based on the contract amendment effective
16 May 1983 which provided for Two Years Service Credit (Section 20818) for
eligible local Micellaneous members.
Section 3. Now, therefore, be it resolved;..that the City of Carson
does seek to add an additional designated period and further resolves to direct
the Carson City Clerk to forward a certified copy of this resolution to the
Public Euployees' Retirement System, indicating a desire of the City Council
of the City of Carson to add an additional designated period from 1 July 1984
to 31 October 1984 for classifications in the miscellaneous -unit.

hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of said City is
five; that the foregoing resolution, being Resolution No. 84-055 was duly and
regularly adopted by the City Council of said City at an adjourned regular meeting
of said Council, duly and regularly held on the 12th day of March, 1984, and that
the same was so passed and adopted by the following vote:
