A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON
CONSENTING TO ESTABLISHEMNT OF A PORTION OF WILMINGTON
AVENUE WITHIN SAID CITY AS A PART OF THE SYSTEM OF HIGHWAYS
OF THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES
WHEREAS, by reason of its location and travel thereon, that portion
of Wilmington Avenue from University Drive to Helmick Street and
intersecting streets appurtenant to the construction thereof, within
the City of Carson, County of Los Angeles, State of California, should
be a part of the County's System of Highways; and
WHEREAS, it is the purpose of the Board of Supervisors of said
County to construct improvements and perform appurtenant work thereon;
WHEREAS, the City recognizes that the construction project involves
improvmeents of a minor nature:
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON HEREBY RESOLVES:
Section 1. That jurisdiction is granted to the County of Los Angeles
so that said County may administer a construction contract for resurfac-
ing a major highway on the.County's Plan of Highways, of Wilmington
Avenue from University Drive to Helmick Street and intersecting streets
appurtenant to the construction.
Section 2. That the portion of Wilmington Avenue from University
Drive to Helmick Street and intersecting streets appurtenant to the
construction thereof, within the City of Carson, are hereby declared
to be a part of the System of Highways of said County, as provided in
Section 1701 and 1850 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of
California for the purpose of and limited to the aforementioned
construction of improvements and performance of appurtenant work.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 7th day of May 1984.

I, Helen S. Rawagoe, City Clerk of the City of Carson, California, do
hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of said City is
five; that the foregoing resolution, being Resolution No. 84-082 was duly and
regularly adopted by the City Council of said City at a regular meeting of said
Council, duly and regularly held on the 7th day of May, 1984, and that the same was
so passed and adopted by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCIL MEMBERS: DeWitt, Egan, Muise and Calas.
NOES: COUNCIL MEMBERS: None
