RESOLUTION NO. 84-106
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON
APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR ASPHALT CONCRETE
CAPPING OF VARIOUS CITY STREETS AND APPURTENANT WORK,
ORDERING THE WORK, CALLING FOR BIDS AND DESIGNATING A
TIME AND PLACE FOR THE OPENING OF BIDS. CITY OF CARSON
PROJECT NO. 499
WHEREAS, the City has prepared plans and specifications for the
construction of street improvements in the City of Carson; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of Carson that
such plans and specifications be approved and the work shown therein
be done by the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARSON AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Approval of Plans and'Specifications. The plans and
specifications filed with the City Clerk and hearing the designation
"Asphalt Concrete Capping of Various City Streets, Project. No. 499" and
relating the improvements as described in this Resolution are hereby
approved.
.Section 2. Ordering the Work. It is ordered that the work and
improvements proposed to be done, hereinafter designated as Project
No. 499 City of Carson, shall be performed as shown in said specifica-
tions.
Section 3. Adoption of Wa e Scale. The Director oftheDepartment
of Industrial Relations has heretofore determined the prevailing rate
and scale of wages in accordance with laws to be paid in the construction
of the above -entitled improvements. That said rate and scale of wages
is on file in the office of the City Clerk. That said rate and scale
is herein referred to and adopted in this notice as though fully and
completely set forth herein, and that said scale as adopted by said
resolution is made a part of this notice by Reference.
Section 4. Call for Bids. The City Clerk is hereby ordered to
post a Notice Inviting Sealed Bids for said project in at least four
public places in the City of Carson as designated by the Carson
Municipal Code. Said Notice shall distinctly state the project to be
done and refer to the specifications on file.

Section 5. Receipt and Opening of'Bids. The City Council hereby
fixes July 6, 1984 at the hour of 10e00 a.m. as theday and hour and
the City Clerk's Office of the City Hall, Carson, as the place of
opening bids; and said.time and place shall be shown intheNotices.
All bids shall -be delivered to, opened, examined and declared by the
City Clerk at the City Hall, 701 E. Carson Street, Carson California,
and shall be publicly opened.
The City Administrator shall report the results of such bidding
to the City Council at its next regular meeting after the opening of
bids. No proposal or bid shall be considered by the City Administrator
or by the City Council unless accompanied by a check or bid bond as
required by law and satisfactory to the City Council.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 25th -day of June , 1984.

I, Helen S. Rawagoe, City Clerk of the City of Carson, California, do
hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of said City is
five; that the foregoing resolution, being Resolution No. 84-106 was duly and
regularly adopted by the City Council of said City at an adjourned regular meeting
of said Council, duly and regularly held on the 25th day of June, 1984, and that the
same was so passed and adopted by the following vote:
