January 5th, 1934.
A regular meeting of Council was held to -day at 4:00 p.m. and
was attended by Mayor Lewis, who presided, and Councilmen iogan,Righton,
Blumenthal and Cann and Mr. C.J.Richards.
Mr. Richards protested against the stopping and arresting of
his employess while working on his cottage, Mr. Richards was
informed t }:at he did not have a permit authorising the work,
after some discussion he' agreed to take out the necessary
permits and was excused.
The Mayor informed Council that the CWA had returned the
applications for repairs to public buildings because the
architects fees were included in the amounts requested,
this is to be adjusted and the papers returned to Atlanta.
The Mayor informed Council that he had written a letter to
the Administrator of Federal Works, in Washington,D.C.,
requesting reconsideration of the application of the Town
for funds with which to extend the parking apaees.
It was noted that the work on the Butler Avenue project
to be done by the CWA forces would begin immediately.
There being no further business Council adjourned subject
to the call of the Mayor.

and was attended by Mayor Lewis, who presided, and Councilmen
Sharpley, Blumenthal and Demers., and Mr. E.J.Haar,and Berry
B.Lethbridge,jr.,
Mr. Haar, representing the Tybrisa Company, petitioned that
the Town withhold the sale of the Tybrisa Company property
which has been advertised for non payment of taxes -- he stated
that 200.00 -could be paid now on account and that the balance
would be taken care of by May let. Mr Haar was excused.
Mr.Lethbridge presented plans for the inauguratio# of a monthly
publication featuring Savannah Beach based on co- operative ad-
vertising and without cost to the Town. Mr. Lethbridge was excused
The minutes of the meeting of December 12th were read and adopted.
After discussion it was moved and seconded that the Tybrisa
Company pay 200.00 at once on their unpaid taxes and that
the balance b paid hot later than May 1st 1934. Motion passed.
