A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARSON APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR BICYCLE
AND/OR PEDESTRIAN FUNDS AUTHORIZED UNDER SB821
AND APPROVING THE ADOPTION OF ITS BICYCLE AND/OR
PEDESTRIAN PLAN
WHEREAS, SB821 provides that 2% of each County's total local
transportation fund be annually set aside and used to fund the development of
bicycle and pedestrian facilities; and
WHEREAS, the City of Carson has planned a bikeway system in con-
formance with specifications of Caltrans Planning and Design Criteria for Bike-
ways in California and the Regional Transportation Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City of Carson desires to construct the master bike-
way system within their City utilizing the funds available under SB821.
as follows:
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Carson does resolve
1) To Adopt the Bikeway System in conformance with the speci-
fications of Caltrans' Planning and Design Criteria for Bikeways
in California and the Regional Transportation Plan; and
2) To authorize Raymond L. Meador, City Administrator, as the
City's authorized signature and designated contact person; and
3) To apply for all funds available to the City of Carson allo-
cated for Bikeways and Pedestrian Facilities (SB821).
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 7th day of August , 1984

hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of said City is
five; that the foregoing resolution, being Resolution No. 84-134 was duly and
regularly adopted by the City Council of said City at an adjourned regular meeting
of said Council, duly and regularly held on the 7th day of August, 1984, and that
the same was so passed and adopted by the following vote:
