HomeMy Public PortalAbout84-163RESOLUTION NO. 84-163 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON, REQUESTING THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA TO ACCEPT ON BEHALF OF SAID DISTRICT A TRANSFER AND CONVEYANCE OF STORM DRAIN IMPROVEMENTS KNOWN AS MISCELLANEOUS TRANSFER DRAIN NO. 1020 IN THE CITY OF CARSON FOR FUTURE OPERATION, MAINTENANCE, REPAIR AND IMPROVEMENT, AND AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER AND CONVEYANCE THEREOF WHEREAS, there have been dedicated to, or the City has otherwise acquired, the storm drain improvements.and drainage system known as Miscellaneous Transfer Drain No. 1020, described in Exhibit A attached hereto; and WHEREAS, the City is authorized and empowered to transfer and convey to the Los Angeles County Flood Control District any storm drain improvements and drainage systems for future operation, maintenance, repair, and improvement; and WHEREAS, the City and the Los Angeles County Flood Control District, entered into an agreement dated July 22, 1980, and recorded September 30, 1980, as Document No. 80-957600, of the Official Records in the office of the County Recorder for the County of Los Angeles, whereby the City made certain warranties about its future transfers and conveyances of Flood Control facilities to the District; and WHEREAS, the best public interest will be served by transfer and conveyance of the storm drain improvements and drainage system described in Exhibit A attached hereto from the City to the Los Angeles County Flood. Control District for future operation, maintenance, repair and improvements. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City does hereby request the Los.Angeles County Flood Control District to accept the transfer and conveyance of the storm drain improvements and drainage system described in said Exhibit A. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, subject to the acceptance thereof of the Board of Supervisors of the Los Angeles County Flood Control District, the City Engineer is directed and ordered to prepare all necessary instruments_ and documents, including deed, to effectuate said transfer and conveyance, and that the Mayor is authorized and instructed to execute said deed and other instruments and documents. District shall have no obligation or responsibility to maintain said storm drain, improvements, and drainage until all rights of way for said drain now vested in the City and all other necessary rights of way therefore have been conveyed to andacceptedby District. Reference is hereby made to District Dwg. No. 28-F1151, the plans and profile of said storm drain improvements and drainage system on file in the office of the City Engineer and on file in the office of the Chief Engineer of said District for further data as to the exact location, extent, and description of said storm drain improvements and drainage system. Resolution No. 84-163, Page 2 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that thetransferand conveyance hereby requested are subject to each of the warranties described in the Agreement between the City and the District dated July 22, 1980, and recorded September 30, 1980, as Document Number 80-957600, of the Official Records in the office of the County Recorder for the County of Los Angeles. Suchwarrantiesby the City are incorporated here by this reference. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution. PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 4th day of September , 1984. Drain Project No. 41529, L.A.C.R.D. Dwg. Nos. 48983 and 48987) at Station 0+95.00 to the manhole at Station 6+12.00; and 248.18 linear feet, more or less, of 45" x 29" Oval Reinforced Concrete Pipe and appurtenant structures extending southerly from said manhold to the manhold at Station 8+70. Connector Pipes (1) 7 linear feet,.more or less, of 18" RCP connector pipe and appurtenant structures extending easterly from the catch basin at'the southwesterly corner of Banning Boulevard and Lincoln Street to the main line. (2) 18 linear feet, more or less, of 18" RCP connector pipe and appurtenant structures extending westerly from the catch basin at the southeasterly corner of Banning Boulevard and Lincoln Street to the main line. (3) 7 linear feet, more or less, or 18" RCP connector pipe and appurtenant structures extending easterly from the catch basin at the southwesterly corner of Banning Boulevard and Pacific Street to the main line. (4) 18 linear feet, more or less, of 18" RCP connector pipe and appurtenant structures extending westerly from the catch basin at the southeasterly corner of Banning Boulevard and Lincoln Street to the main line. (5) 18 linear feet, more or less , of 24" RCP connector pipe and appurtenant structures extending northeasterly from the catch basin at the southwesterly corner of Banning Boulevard and Realty Street to the manhold at Station 8+70. (6) 24 linear feet, more or less, of 24" RCP connector pipe and appurtenant structures extending northwesterly from the catch basin at the southeasterly corner of Banning Boulevard and Realty Street to the manhold at Station 8+70. RCB Reconstruction 31 feet, more or less, of 5 foot wide by 2 foot high Reinforced Concrete Box in Road Department Drain No 284 (Exist. Drain Project No. 41529, L.A.C.R.D. Dwg. Nos. 48983 and 48987) located in Sepulveda Boulevard approximately 520 feet east of the centerline or Banning Boulevard. All as shown on L.A.C.F.C.D. Dwg. No. 28-F1151.
