Minutes
October 21, 2015 4:30 P.M. Greencastle City Hall
1. Call to Order; Roll Call
Mayor Murray called the meeting to order at 4:30 PM; upon roll by Clerk
Treasurer Lynda Dunbar the following were present Susan Murray,
Trudy Selvia and Thom Morris.
II. Special Requests
A. Sewer Leak Adjustment- Marvin Baker- Motion by Trudy Selvia to
accept the Sewer Leak Adjustment as presented in the amount of
$906.68, second Thom Morris, 3 -0, motion carried.
111. Approval of Minutes
A. Regular Session — September 16, 2015
Motion by Trudy Selvia to accept September 16, 2015 minutes as presented,
second Sue Murray, 2 -0, motion carried. Thom Morris abstained.
IV. Approval of Claims
A. Water- Motion by Trudy Selvia to accept the Water Claims as presented,
second Sue Murray, 3 -0, motion carried
B. Wastewater- Motion by Thom Morris to accept the Wastewater Claims as
presented, second Sue Murray, 3 -0, motion carried.
V. Department Reports
A. Fire Department — Bill Newgent
B. Planner — Shannon Norman
C. Police Department — Tom Sutherlin
D. Department of Public Works — Brad Phillips
E. Water & Wastewater Department — Robert Lovell
F. City Attorney - Laurie Robertson Hardwick
G. Park and Recreation — Rod Weinschenk
VI. Old Business
A. Updates IDEM Compliance Efforts
Water Project — Lori Young provided the following information:
• Expanding pad for Well 3
• Well 7 back in Service after installing motor.
• On track for 10/31/2015 IDEM deadline.
VII. New Business
A. Selection of New Firefighter- Motion by Thom Morris to select Brandon
Watson as new firefighter contingent on PERF approval, second Susan
Murray, 3 -0, motion carried.
B. Purchase of New Truck for Cemetery. Motion by Trudy Selvia to
purchase a new 1Ton Dump Truck for the Cemetery for $35,333 from
York's (lowest bid), second Thom Morris, 3 -0, motion carried.
C. Insurance -Rick Bitt les- Motion by Thom Morris to increase the flood
insurance in Zone A to the maximum amount, second Trudy Selvia, 3 -0,
motion carried
D. Water SRF Loan Claim Docket- Motion by Trudy Selvia to accept the
SRF Loan Accounts Payable Docket as presented, second Susan
Murray, 3 -0, motion carried.
Thom Morris had to leave meeting at 5:01p.m.
E. Change Order Water Plant - Motion by Trudy Selvia to allow Mayor
Murray to sign Change Order, second by Sue Murray, 2 -0, motion
carried.
VIII. Adjournment
Motion by Trudy Selvia to dismiss at 5:04 p.m., second Sue Murray, 2 -0,
motion carried.
