RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE MIDPENINSULA REGIONAL PARK
DISTRICT IN SUPPORT OF BALLOT MEASURES
J AND K APPEARING ON THE CITY OF
SARATOGA BALLOT IN THE JUNE 8, 1976
ELECTION
WHEREAS, since its inception, the Midpeninsula
Regional Park District has had a policy of encouraging
local jurisdictions to participate in the preservation
of open space within the District.
WHEREAS, the Midpeninsula Regional Park District
therefore wishes to encourage the citizens of Saratoga to
support the local ballot measures which provide for the
acquisition of the exceptionally scenic open spaces which
form the backdrop to the city.
WHEREAS, in concert with the Midpeninsula Regional
Park District's program, Saratoga's open space acquisition
proposals will maximize the opportunities for preserving
and protecting, forever, the City's beautiful views, rich
feeling of open space and opportunities for low intensity
recreation.
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED that the Board of Dir-
ectors of the Midpeninsula Regional Park District endorses
and supports ballot measures J and K which provide the
necessary financing for the acquisition of open space in
the foothills of Saratoga.

RESOLUTION NO. 76-10
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Directors of the Midpeninsula
Regional Park District on April 28 , 19 76 , at a regular
meeting thereof, by the following vote:
AYES: K. Duffy, B. Green, N. Hanko and D. Wendin
NOES: None
ABSTAIN: None
ABSENT: E. Shelley
