A special meeting of Council was held to -day at 4:00 p.m. and was attended by Mayor Lewis, who presided, and Councilmen Cann, Blumenthal,SharDley and Demere. It was moved and seconded that Mutt the following resolution in connection with the application for repairs to municipal buildings. be adopted. Motion passed. RESOLUTION. BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Councilmen of Savannah Beach, Tybee Island,. Georgia, in Council assembled, that the following sums of money shall be expended by this municipality for repairs and improvements to municipal build- ings, in connection with the Civil Works Administration, to -wit; Architects services $ 621.00 Superintenience by municipality under Superintendent of Public Works, W.J.Bryan, regularly employed by municipality. BE I'" FURTHER RESOLVED that the above named sums are hereby appropriated for the above mentioned purpose from the Treasury of said municipality and that the Mayor of said muni- cipality is hereby authorized, upon presentation of proper vouchers. to sign and execute the same. A regular meeting of Council was held to -day at 4:00 p.m. and was attended by Mayor J.C.Lewis, who presided, and Councilmen Logan,Sharpley,Blumenthal and Demers, aley Messrs. F.A.Davis, R Joe Daniels, and A.P.Solomon,jr. Mr Davis protested against the new assessment placed on the property of Mrs. G.D.Lindsay at Dixon 4ation, since May 1, 1933, he contended that the property was already over assessed,that it was a very old building that required repairing, and he did not feel that the owner should be compelled to pay an increased assessment for the repairing of their property. Mr Davis was excused. Mr. Solomon reported that the waterworks system has been completed according to the plan and map as presented to the Town, and was in duly use. Councilman Sharpley stated that the system was acceptable by the Town and that it was up to the Town to vitt comply with the requirements of the S.B.U.Assn. , to get a suf- ficient number of points to put it in a third class rating. Mr. Solomons was excused. 119
