A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO APPLY FOR
ALL AVAILABLE GRANTS UNDER THE SAN GABRIEL AND LOWER LOS
ANGELES RIVERS AND MOUNTAINS CONSERVANCY, RECEIVE AND
MANAGE PROJECTS FUNDED UNDER THE SAME GRANT
WHEREAS, the Rivers and Mountains Conservancy (RMC), as part of the
Proposition 1 competitive- grant roll -out announced a Call for Projects with a
submission deadline for funding applications set for December 16, 2015; and
WHEREAS, through this Call for Projects, the RMC seeks to support
projects that increase water supply and quality and enhance the health of the
regional watersheds;
WHEREAS, a resolution from the governing body is required as part of the
grant submittal.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
DOES HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council authorizes the City Manager or his
designee to amend the project concept(s), estimated cost, and local matching
funds as needed to submit projects that would be competitive.
Section 2. That the City Council authorizes the City Manager 'or his,
designee to apply for the grant, receive the grant, and to manage the projects
funded. under the grant.
Section 3. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its
adoption.
Section 4 The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this City
Council Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 24th day of November,
2015.
