A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD ACCEPTING
THE CIVIC CENTER PUBLIC PARK PROJECT; PROJECT NO. 4011.67.030 AS
COMPLETE; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY ENGINEER TO PROCESS THE
RECORDATION OF THE NOTICE OF COMPLETION
WHEREAS, On August 4, 2015, the City Council awarded the Civic Center
Public Park, through Piggybacking off Lynwood Linear Park Construction Contract, to
C S Legacy; and
WHEREAS, the project was funded by Housing Urban Development (HUD) and
the Los Angeles County Parks Maintenance Grant; and
WHEREAS, the construction of the park started on August 17, 2015 and was
completed on Friday October 16, 2015. Staff conducted the final inspection on Monday
October 19, 2015, and' found that all park improvements have been completed in
accordance with the project plans and specifications.
WHEREAS, the final construction cost is $90,606.95 and is distributed as
follows:
• Construction Contract Amount $87,060.00
• Contract Change Order 3,546.95
(Painting steel angles and wood staining)
TOTAL $90,606.95
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Lynwood accepts the Civic
Center Public Park Construction Project; Project No. 4011.67.030 as complete in
accordance with contract documents; and authorizes the City Engineer to process the
recordation of the Notice of Completion.
Section 2. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this City Council
Resolution.
