A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY CONCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARSON OPPOSING ANY EFFORTS TO
MAKE ANY PART OF LOS ANGELES COUNTY
A SANTUARY FOR ILLEGAL ALIENS.
WHEREAS, members of the Carson'City Council generally
support efforts designed to encourage legislation for a fair
and humane immigration law; and
WHEREAS, members of the Carson City Council generally
oppose efforts to have cities or counties declared sanctuaries
for illegal aliens; and
WHEREAS, the taxpayers are directly impacted by the
cost of providing services to illegal aliens; and
WHEREAS, the City Council supports action by the Los
Angeles County Board of Supervisors to oppose efforts to make
any part of the County a sanctuary for illegal aliens,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Carson as follows:
Section 1. The Carson City Council supports efforts
resigned to encourage legislation formulating a fair and humane
_:rmigrati.on law and opposes any local sanctuaries for illegal
aliens.
Section 2. The City Clerh is directed to transmit
Copies of t:i Resolution to the Los Angeles County Board of
Supervisors, Assemblyman Richard Floyd, Senator Ralph C. Dills,
t'G League of California Cities, and the California Contract
Cities Association.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 7th day of April.

hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of said City is
five; that the foregoing resolution, being Resolution No. 86-025 was duly and
regularly adopted by the City Council of said City at a regular meeting of said
Council, duly and regularly held on the 7th day of April, 1986, and that the same
