Home My Public Portal About86-026RESOLUTION NO. 86-026 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING VOTING PRECINCTS AND POLLING PLACES, APPOINTING PRECINCT BOARD MEMBERS AND FIXING COMPENSATION FOR THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION OF SAID CITY ON TUESDAY, APRIL 8, 1986 WHEREAS, a General Municipal Election to be held on Tuesday, April 8, 1986, has been called by Resolution No. 85-169 and adopted on December 16, 1985. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That for the purpose of holding the general municipal election, there is established 62 voting precincts consisting of the regular election precincts in the City of Carson established for the holding of state and county elections, as the regular election precincts exist on the date of adoption of this resolution. That the polling places for the respective precincts shall be the places designated; and that the persons named, being competent and qualified electors and residents of the city are appointed precinct board members for their respective voting precincts and they shall conduct the election in the manner provided by law. That the compensation of the persons named as precinct board members is fixed at the sum of $45 dollars for each Inspector and $35 dollars for each Judge and Clerk for the election. The rental for each polling place, where a charge is made, shall be the sum of $25 dollars for the election. When required, the compensation of the Custodian of a building shall be $15 dollars for the election. SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution; and enter it in the book of original Resolutions. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED on the 3rd day of March , 1986.
