HomeMy Public PortalAbout86-080RESOLUTION NO. 86-080 AN RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON AMENDING THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON HEREBY FINDS, RESOLVES AND ORDERS AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. On June 10, 1986, the Planning Commission, following a duly noticed public hearing at which evidence, both written and oral, was duly presented to and considered by said Commission, recommended to the City Council that the Land Use Element of the General Plan be amended to change the designation of those certain real properties described in Exhibit A attached hereto from the "Heavy Industrial" and "Low Density Residential" designations to "Light Industrial" Designation. Section 2. On July 7, 1986, the City Council held a duly noticed public hearing to consider whether to amend the Land Use Element of the General Plan as recommended by the Planning Commission. Evidence, both written and oral, was duly presented to and considered by the Council at said hearing. Section 3. A Negative Declaration has been prepared for that certain property described in Exhibit A. The City Council has reviewed and considered the Negative Declaration prepared for the proposed General Plan Amendment and the associ- ated Zone Change Amendment prior to making its decision whether to amend the Plan. The Council finds that the proposed amendment will not have a significant effect on the environment as indicated in the Negative Declaration. Section 4. The City Council concurs with the Planning Commission recom- mendation and hereby orders that the Land Use Element of the General Plan be amended as recommended by the Planning Commission. Section S. The City Clerk shall endorse the Land Use Element of the General Plan to show the approval by the Planning Commission and the adoption by the City Council of the foregoing amendment.
