RE: Committee Meeting
On April 4, 1984, the committee was reorganized with members
Matt Wallace, Lyn Clark, Ron Delp, Bill Williams, Don Fitzwater,
Cliff Lutes and myself. Appointment of committee members will be
recommended to the City Council on April 16, 1984.
Topics for discussion for the committee were:
1. the problems associated with access, safety and economic
base for the master plan, and;
2. the necessity of a City ordinance either restricting or
allowing with conditions access to the airport through the fence.
The Committee concluded that:
1. the U.S.F.S. should be allowed to set up their smoke jumpers
base on the west side of the airport;
2. access should be allowed;
3. an operation and maintenance agreement should be drafted;
4. an ordinance allowing access by private individuals be drafted
with conditions set forth; and)
5. there should be an east side parallel taxiway built.
In the meeting that same evening with the U.S.F.S., F.A.A. and the
State Department of Transportation, all of the above issues were re-
viewed. The conclusion reached was that the U.S.F.S. will submit a
written formal proposal to the City Council regarding the list items
above with the exception that the City must determine on its own
whether or not to allow through the fence operations. The State and
F.A.A. do not want or believe that the City should allow through the
fence operations. There were several concerns regarding the management
of the airport, controlled single entry and the political problems to be
encountered.
Bill Williams and Don Fitzwater were in attendance at both meetings and
may be able to shed some light on the discussion.
The next meeting of the committee has been set for Wednesday, April 18,
at 2:00 P.M. here at City Hall.

Subject: Advisory Board Meeting
A meeting of the Airport Advisory Board is called for 2000 hours (8:00 PM)
at the Mc Call City offices on 19 December 1979.
I have submitted my resignation as Airport Manager to the City of Mc Call
to be effective upon the City Council appointing a replacement. The following
is a list of individuals who have submitted applications.
MR. DON P. STRANDEMO
MR. MARC W. ANDERSON
MR. ROBERT W. DUNCAN
MR. ERNEST H. WOODS
These applications are on file with Mr. Jim Hardy, should you desire to review
them. The above list is not final. Other individuals who submit applications
prior to 1700 hours (5:00 PM) on 19 December 1979 will also be considered. At
this meeting, on 19 December 1979, we are to make a recomendation of an indi-
vidual to be submitted to the City Council for consideration.
A copy of this letter is being given to both Pioneer Aviation and Mc Call
Air Taxi for their information, and any comments/recommendations they may have
in this matter.
